If you’ve ever received an amazing assist, you probably know what a gift it can be! It’s a moment of connection, not only to yourself, but to your teacher.  And if you’ve ever received a ‘not-so-amazing’ assist, you probably also know how ‘wrong’ it can feel.  To hold the space of a teacher is a gift, and to provide a hands-on assist is a responsibility of trust and space.  Learning how to provide an illuminating assist is not only empowering for the student, it’s empowering for the teacher as it shows just how impactful energy and touch can be.  What’s required is a deep listening of the senses (yours and your students) and to know how to apply technique to that listening.  Come learn how to see, apply, and assist in this 2 hour workshop.

Learn to FLY (on your hands)! 

All of us are capable of getting upside down (we sometimes just need a little bit of help)! The trick is to teach the body a new pattern of awareness so that we know where and what to engage.  This 2 hour workshop will teach you how to build strength through conditioning exercises to get upside down as well as little tricks to teach your body pattern for getting upside down!  All levels are welcome, we will start with the foundations of our arm balances and move into our inversions of headstand, forearm stand, and handstand!

A flexible body first begins in the mind.

This 3-hour workshop is designed to illuminate discovery of the space we have within ourselves (the space that we might have forgotten over the years).  We will work towards reversing the habitual pattern of posterior rounding (opening the space behind your heart and in the hips/upper leg lines to relieve compression and pressure on our lumbar spine) to create space within the body and mind in order to expand our capacity for possibility.
